Terms of Service

Short version: the mold work is performed under California contractor licensing by licensed local contracting partners, your work contract is with the entity that performs the work, and nobody here promises outcomes. The details follow.

The work, and who performs it

All inspection, testing, and remediation is performed by, or under, independent CSLB-licensed local contracting partners. Your agreement for any work — its scope, price, schedule, and workmanship — is directly with the entity that performs it, and that entity is responsible for the work. Before hiring anyone, verify the performing contractor's license at cslb.ca.gov; California issues no mold-specific license, so the CSLB contractor license is the credential that exists to check.

No professional advice

The guides summarize statutes, agency guidance, and public data with citations, and they are general information — not legal, medical, insurance, or engineering advice. Habitability disputes, HOA questions, and coverage arguments turn on specific facts; the guides say so and point to the professionals who handle each.

No outcome promises

Mold work deals in moisture, materials, and verification — not promises. We make no representations about results beyond a written scope's own terms, and any warranty on performed work belongs to the performing entity and its contract with you.

Payment and contracting

Payment for work is made to the entity you contract with for that work. These pages quote no prices; scopes and quotes are produced in writing after inspection.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability arising from the use of these pages is limited to the amount you paid to use them — which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights against any entity that performs work for you.
